Planning a Halloween wedding celebration or party? You’ll find inspiration here!

Welcome to “Dan Davis, Dan Davis Designs” transformation of the Duralee showroom at the Michigan Design Center.

Check out that chandelier!

I personally would avoid “The Roadkill Cookbook”, a vultures favorite recipe source. YMMV!

“Jack O’Lantern” is always a welcome guest on Halloween.

Much thought was given to every detail. Way back there in the corner of the bedroom you’ll see that somebody . . .

. . .or is it, NObody, is reading “How To Be The Perfect Host”.

Always good to bone up on your hosting skills.

This guy(?) promoted the Duralee showroom, throughout the celebration.

I’ll avoid the obvious – “workin’ his fingers to the bone”, but he seriously needs to visit the tasty candy buffet.

A candy buffet is a somewhat new wedding reception trend, and one that definitely is here to stay!

When something is easy AND fun, it’s sure to be a good thing.

A Halloween wedding candy buffet might feature: donuts (stacked or on a cupcake tree as your wedding cake), pumpkin pie, apple cider, caramel apples, popcorn balls or peanut brittle. Of course, you can make it even more fun(a.k.a. easy), by having your entire meal buffet-style.

Guest favors could include: spider rings, bags of candy corn, mini-pumpkins – so many possibilities!

Cake topper? How about a couple of spiders, or tiny skeletons or pumpkins or a“Love Never Dies” tombstone? The devil IS in the details!

Love the lavender and black color scheme, Dan!

The Bride & Groom

Too many lights + too much glass = the refection of my hand in the photo above!

What self-respecting Interior Designer wouldn’t subscribe to “Haunted House & Garden”, “bone appetit” “American Scream Homes”?

What a treat!

“Dan Davis Designs” truly went all out for the “Celebrations” event. Everyone loved Dan’s design. We weren’t at all creeped out by the spiders.

If you’re planning a Halloween wedding reception (or party) you’ll find so many great food and decorating ideas here, online and in pretty much every store – in every price range. After your wedding reception, you’ll have your decorations to pack away for your anniversary celebration the following year – and every year after!

We’re planning our Halloween wedding decor and will have it in place from October 22, 2010 – October 31, 2010. For us, it’s creamy white pumpkins and mums, knarly branches, fall leaves strewn about and of course lots of candlelight. I’ll post photos as soon as we’re done. In the meantime, if you didn’t see Heather and Dave’s Halloween wedding in 2009 - take a peek!
